Everything in life that happens teaches us something that we are supposed to learn , we don't really care and who cares, till we suffer and understand the lost , but the fact is we do care and don't want to suffer what we really don't know is how to learn and how to apply what we have learned .
we may not be successful at the first attempt but it does not mean that we can't try again , i would say "trying is the only hope and with hope we try " and some time it really take very long for what we hope to achieve in life so patience is something that solve the problem for long goals .
